Winter
Winter
My name is Winter
I live in a cold climate
I make it my own
I don’t care if the trees are bare
And I don’t care if I’m alone
I blow snowflakes, I bring rain
Sometimes I hibernate, sleep with the bears
Ice in my mouth, I blow birds south
Like grains of pepper in the air
Winter
My name is Winter
I am a very cold man
Long white fingernails, frost in my beard
Swordsmen of icicles fight in my hands
Soot and stains, long blue veins
Shadowed like a map of Japan
Winter
My name is Winter
I am a very cold man
I am a very cold man
